Departure at daybreak from Crooked Island for Providenciales.
140 nautical miles to go today and it will be a long day which started very badly, because we were woken up by the CO2 detector! Upon investigation, we discovered that the thruster batteries were boiling… so we unplugged everything, opened all the air vents to get the smell out and decided to go anyway, as we felt we had a better chance to fix the boat at Turks then Crooked Island!
Blue Haven Marina, Providenciales
It was a magnificent crossing as the images show and we were pleasantly surprised at what awaited us at Blue Haven Marina when we arrived in Providenciales. The channel leading to the marina is well marked, has recently been dredged and is wide and deep and can accommodate mega yachts up to 200 feet!!!
The staff are helpful and friendly and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. All facilities are well maintained and being docked at the marina we have access to all facilities at the adjacent resort as well as the Alexandra Resort on Grace Bay, both of which are serviced by a shuttle.
We can’t wait to explore this new island!
